One tablet an hour before your appointment allows you to comfortably and calmly undergo most dental procedures. The medication relaxes patients and most fall asleep but are able to respond to verbal instructions. Triazolam also enhances the effectiveness of anesthetic and decreases the joint and muscle soreness many people experience from tensing up during dental care. Most patients have no memory of their time in the chair.

Triazolam’s effects last two to four hours, so you will need to have someone drive you to and from your appointment. We constantly monitor each patient’s heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation, and we can use a reversal agent to start reversal of the effect of the medicine in less than 30 seconds.
